Jack and the Beanstalk Educational Software

… for PC or Mac computers

Jack and the BeanstalkJack and the Beanstalk is an English fairy tale, closely associated with the tale of Jack and the Giant Killer. It is known under a number of versions but was popularized in Joseph Jacobs’ English Fairy Tales in 1890. Fairy tales involve mythical beings that use magic to intervene in human lives. Sometimes these stories can be used as examples of good and evil and of understanding human emotions and actions.

The story tells of a boy named Jack who is given five “magic beans.” Overnight the beans grew into a giant beanstalk which led to a giant’s castle. He was saved from harm on three separate occasions from the mean giant, and the treasures he found enabled Jack and his mother to live happily ever after.
